Chiang Mai Old City
A well-preserved Lanna dynasty ancient city with intact city walls and a moat. Inside the old city, you’ll find the Sunday Night Market, Wat Chedi Luang, and Phra Singh Temple. The advantage of staying in the Old City is the endless night markets to explore, with most attractions within walking distance and convenient souvenir shopping.
Ping River & Night Bazaar Area
From Tha Phae Gate all the way to the Ping Riverfront is Chiang Mai’s most famous Night Bazaar area, including Chang Khlan Road Night Market, Saturday Night Market, Warorot Market, and Ton Lam Yai Market. This area also features many excellent riverside boutique hotels, villas, and Lanna-style resorts.
Nimman Area
This area has many cafes, creative shops, bars, Thai massage parlors, and restaurants. The advantage of staying here is that it’s quieter than the Old City, and it’s closer to Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai Zoo, and Doi Suthep (Wat Phra That).

The hotel is very new, with bathroom fixtures and appliances from international brands. Wi-Fi is fast, and the environment is very clean and tidy. The only minor room for improvement is that the shower water pressure is slightly unstable and there’s only an overhead showerhead. Otherwise, there’s nothing to complain about. The breakfast is delicious, the staff are friendly and professional, and it’s stylish yet affordable — we’ll definitely come back!

Excellent location — within walking distance to the Old City, Night Market, and Nimman area in the city center. Only 5 meters from the Women’s Prison Massage. There’s so much great food nearby — just cross one street and walk about 30 meters to find a row of eateries where everything is delicious. The hotel has a swimming pool and spacious rooms, which is excellent value for the price.

The hotel is a new building, clean, with an excellent location on the main street outside Tha Phae Gate — convenient and safe. There’s a 7-Eleven and souvenir shops nearby. The rooms are clean and cozy, and the actual space feels adequate, not as cramped as it might appear in photos. The facilities are also well-equipped.

The staff are all very friendly! The location is also very convenient — just a 10-minute walk to Tha Phae Gate, with night markets nearby, and easy access to other areas! The fact that this price point includes breakfast is truly amazing!

POR Thapae Gate
This hotel has an excellent location near Tha Phae, and every staff member speaks fluent English and is very friendly. The beds in the rooms were especially comfortable — our whole family slept very well. I give this hotel a five-star rating. Highly recommended! The hotel is in a great location, in a small alley near the Tha Phae Gate intersection, very quiet. The pool is very clean, and they provide free bicycles (vintage style, great for photos), as well as free fruit and cola. Breakfast is plentiful, with both Thai and European options. The staff are very warm-hearted, and their English sounds great and is easy to understand.

Room types include suites and two-story loft rooms with a living room and bedroom, looking very stylish. The bedroom proportions are excellent, with comfortable beds and pillows for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s style is Japanese — men need to remove their shoes before entering the rooms. The hot water is great, and there’s a cold plunge pool mixed with salt and herbs, which is fantastic. There’s also a sauna — absolutely perfect. The hotel provides shoe lockers and slippers for guests to change into.

The swimming pool is stunning — even more beautiful than in the photos, I love it! The breakfast changes every day and tastes great. Most importantly, all the staff are so friendly — this is the best place I’ve ever visited 🙂 The atmosphere and rooms are wonderful, and I especially want to thank the staff who guided and helped us from start to finish. It was a truly delightful and happy time!

This is one of the best accommodation experiences in Chiang Mai. Everything is extremely clean and tidy. Premium and high-quality appliances, furniture, towels and bathroom amenities, a large TV, even a Bluetooth speaker, and a high-tech bidet toilet. But their best asset is the staff. The staff, especially the lady on the afternoon shift, are very sweet and friendly. She also speaks fluent English, which is rare in Chiang Mai. The location is also excellent — the Sunday Market, Wat Chedi Luang, and coffee shops are all within walking distance. They even provide bicycles for guests to explore the city.
