Chiang Mai Old City Accommodation Recommendations
ON Thapae Chiangmai
The hotel is very new, with bathroom fixtures and appliances from international brands. Wi-Fi is fast, and the environment is very clean and tidy. The only minor issue is slightly unstable shower water pressure with only an overhead showerhead. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. Delicious breakfast, friendly and professional staff, stylish yet affordable — will definitely return!

Arun Khiri Chiang Mai Hotel
Excellent location within walking distance of the old city, night markets, and Nimman area. Just 5 meters from the Women’s Prison Massage, with tons of great food nearby — cross one street, walk about 30 meters and there’s a row of restaurants where everything is delicious. The hotel has a swimming pool and spacious rooms that are excellent value for the price.

Maplewood Hotel Chiangmai
New building, clean, with an excellent location on the main street outside Tha Phae Gate — convenient and safe, with a 7-Eleven and souvenir shops nearby. Rooms are clean and cozy, and feel more spacious than they appear in photos. Facilities are well-equipped.

The staff are all very friendly! Great location — just a 10-minute walk to Tha Phae Gate, with night markets nearby and easy access to other areas. Including breakfast at this price point is amazing!

POR Thapae Gate
Excellent location near Tha Phae, with every staff member fluent in English and very friendly. The beds were especially comfortable — our whole family slept wonderfully. I give this hotel five stars! Highly recommended! Great location on a quiet lane near the Tha Phae Gate intersection. The pool is clean, free bicycles are available (vintage style, great for photos), plus free fruit and cola. Breakfast is extensive with both Thai and Western options. The staff are warm-hearted with clear, easy-to-understand English.

Room types include suites and two-level loft rooms with living and bedroom areas, looking very stylish. The bedroom proportions are excellent, with comfortable beds and pillows for a great night’s sleep. The hotel has a Japanese style — men need to remove shoes before entering rooms. Hot water is great, and there’s a cold plunge pool mixed with salt and herbs, which is fantastic. There’s also a sauna — simply perfect. The hotel provides shoe lockers and slippers for guests.

Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort
The swimming pool is beautiful — even more so than in the photos, I love it! Breakfast changes daily and tastes great. Most importantly, all the staff are friendly — this is the best place I’ve ever visited 🙂 The atmosphere and rooms are wonderful, and I’m especially grateful to the staff who guided and helped us from start to finish. A truly joyful and happy stay!

Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort
One of the best accommodation experiences in Chiang Mai. Everything is exceptionally clean and tidy. Top-quality appliances, furniture, towels, bathroom amenities, a large TV, Bluetooth speaker, and even a high-tech bidet toilet. But their best asset is the staff — especially the lady on the afternoon shift, who is sweet and friendly. She also speaks fluent English, which is rare in Chiang Mai. The location is excellent too, with the Sunday Market, Wat Chedi Luang, and coffee shops all within walking distance. They even provide bicycles for guests to explore the city.

The Aruntara Riverside Boutique Hotel sits on the banks of the Ping River in central Chiang Mai, offering spectacular river and courtyard views. A very peaceful stay with excellent service. The rooms are wonderful and the staff are very helpful — they deliver snacks to your room. I loved the body lotion, which smells wonderful. If you want to take a walk, Wat Chai Mongkhon Temple, delicious restaurants, and beautiful famous cafes along the river are all nearby. It’s serene with a great atmosphere.

An authentic and traditional Lanna-style guesthouse in Chiang Mai, with a carefully tended small courtyard that feels like a tranquil oasis. Located near the King’s Monument, within walking distance of the Sunday Walking Street, and close to restaurants and bars. Clean rooms equipped with towels, hairdryer, and full bathroom amenities. No parking lot, but street parking is available in front of the hotel. Friendly and sincere staff providing 24-hour service.

Le Bis Hotel
Clean and modern accommodation with excellent service from all staff. Delicious breakfast that exceeds expectations. The hotel design is trendy, with a cafe next door, and everything works well together. Room layout and lighting are thoughtfully done. Large parking capacity, and a commercial area is less than a 5-minute walk away. Clean and modern accommodation with excellent service from all staff. Delicious breakfast that exceeds expectations.

Le Bis Hotel
Affordable, minimalist design, with very friendly and polite staff. Just a 15-minute walk to One Nimman. The surrounding area has plenty of massage shops, very convenient. The hotel offers free water, coffee, cup noodles, and you might even spot a cat. Daily breakfast has a fixed menu, and Wi-Fi speed is excellent.

BED Nimman – Adult Only
Buri Siri Boutique Hotel
Location — opposite Nimman 17, near the Italian Consulate. Convenient transportation, close to Ton Payom Market and Chiang Mai University. Parking — about 10-15 parking spaces for those renting or driving. Staff — friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, they offer a refreshing welcome drink. Staff always smile and provide a warm Chiang Mai-style welcome. There’s a good-sized pool suitable for exercise. Rooms — Pros: Clean rooms, lovely decor, comfortable soft beds. Breakfast — good breakfast selection with overall delicious food.

During check-in, there are 4 soap scents to choose from. In the room, you can select 2 minibar items for free and request up to 4 bottles of water daily. Our room had beautiful views, close to tourist attractions, cafes, Maya Mall, and One Nimman, coinciding with the Yi Peng festival. The hotel breakfast offers a variety of delicious food. Reception and service staff are excellent — fluent, with bright smiles, all very lovely. Parking at the One Nimman building is free — just pick up a parking card stamped by the hotel at the front desk.

A new, clean hotel in a quiet area, perfect for relaxation. Not too far from Nimman, but having a private or rental car is recommended since public transport is limited. However, Grab is available. The best part is free drinking water in the lobby, which saves money. There’s also a free hot tea and coffee machine. The swimming pool isn’t very large, but it’s a nice place to relax if you don’t want to go out.

Staying at the Art Mai Gallery Hotel feels like being inside an art museum. Located behind Nimman 1, about a 5-minute walk from Maya Mall, with many cafes nearby worth visiting. The pool is a nice bonus! Even though the weather is hot, the water is refreshingly cool. Great location! Convenient area with massage shops and dining options, and the mall is not far away.
